Peter and Kate braved frigid temps to race the Chinook Olympic Distance Tri in Calgary on June 22nd.
Peter has been up and down with injuries for a while. Couple that with a very busy job and family and training consistency has been a challenge. Leading up to this race, however, he’s been able to string together some really solid training weeks with improvements across the board in all three sports! His swim at Chinook was awesome! Coming out of the water close to the leaders Peter then held on for a very strong finish giving him 3rd in his AG and 7th overall. He raced 2 weekends in a row with a sprint the previous weekend! It’s exciting to see you dust off the race cobwebs Peter!
Kate had a plan and man did she stick to it! She nailed her swim execution goals and with that her targeted swim time! Well done! Her bike was done exactly to HR target, and her run started fast with a downhill section and she held on with huge resiliency on the uphill home! This was our first race together Kate and I’m stoked! CONGRATS!!!!!!
