As you may or may not be aware, Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied recently dealt with some pretty yikes reports that claim he cheated with a 25 year old, and now Us Weekly is out here reporting that they’ve split. Take a look back on their relationship, which started with a cheating scandal of its own….
Fall 2009
Black Swan begins production, and Natalie and Benjamin (who is hired to choreograph the film) instantly connect. He later tells Details, “I really, really got into it. You’re standing up next to those actors, like Natalie, and you’re like, ‘Fuck.’ I was blown away—especially by Natalie, who was amazing to watch.”

Page Six reports that Natalie has been keeping her relationship with Benjamin quiet because he was in a serious relationship of his own when they got together.
“They’ve been dating since the fall, although she told friends that she hasn’t gone public with it because she was waiting to see if things got serious,” a source says. “But the real reason she was quiet about things is that Ben had a live-in girlfriend of three years when they met. She was a ballerina at the American Ballet Theater. She had been talking about marrying him and was blindsided by the split. She moved out right after New Year’s Eve.”
A spokeswoman for Natalie tells the outlet, “We have no comment about her personal life.”

Page Six publishes a bombshell report claiming Natalie and Benjamin are “fighting for their marriage” amid his alleged affair with a 25 year old. According to the outlet, Benjamin and Natalie quietly separated last year but “managed to work through their relationship,” however things hit a rough patch when Natalie “discovered that he had an affair.”
A source tells the outlet, “They have not split and are trying to work things out. Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family. She is incredibly private. Her biggest focus right now is protecting the kids.”
The outlet goes on to claim that Benjamin and Natalie’s problems were an “open secret” on May December (see, told you it’d be important).
