A former Twitter CEO’s arrest is trending on social media as multiple sources claim he was arrested for possession of child pornography.
Parag Agrawal is an Indian-born software engineer who served as CEO of Twitter, Inc. from November 2021 to October 2022.
On October 27, 2022, three additional senior executives were also fired when Elon Musk acquired the company.
Prior to working as a developer for Twitter in 2011, Agrawal worked as a research intern at Microsoft Research and Yahoo! Research.
Following Dam Messinger’s retirement, Twitter announced Agrawal’s appointment as Chief Technology Officer in October 2017.

According to the report, the executive was also arrested by the FBI at his residence in California.
Although the story was humorous, several social media users took it seriously and started labeling Parag Agrawal as a pedophile.

The CEO took down child abuse content from Twitter and other social networks and ignored others who posted the same material on the platform.
Musk told the Vancouver Times that more arrests are likely in the future. The billionaire has repeatedly stated that the fight against child pornography is Twitter’s main concern.
Although a Twitter user clarified the news, tweeting, “To everyone retweeting that Parag Agrawal was arrested for child pornography, the Vancouver Times is a satirical site, please stop.” It was the work of the Vancouver Times satirical website.

Parag Agrawal is a renowned computer scientist and engineer who is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Twitter.
