The 27th round of the English league provided us with great moments, when Liverpool achieved a dramatic 0:1 victory over Nottingham Forest and remained at the top, Chelsea continued to look bad with a 2:2 against Brentford, Aston Villa beat Luton in the 89th minute and Tottenham won 3:1 Crystal Palace is making a huge comeback. Also wins for West Ham, Fulham and Newcastle.
Nottingham Forest – Liverpool 1:0
The Premier League leader continued her tremendous momentum and beat Nuno Espirito Santos’ team 0:1 with a goal by Darwin Nunes in the 100th minute. This goal can be remembered as one of the championship goals of the Mighty Reds. Klopp’s team achieved a critical victory and ensured the arrival from first place for one of the games of the season against Manchester City. In contrast, Forest got involved in the bottom and will meet Brighton in the next round when it looks like one of the top candidates to be relegated.
25th minute: A good chance for the hosts, Anthony Alanga got into a dangerous situation, but Caumin Kelleher produced a great save to save Klopp’s side from conceding.
90+10 minutes, a goal! Liverpool went up to 0:1: some character Darwin Nunez gave Klopp’s team the win in the most dramatic way possible.
Tottenham – Crystal Palace 1:3
The Roosters achieved important points in the fight for the fourth leading place in the Champions League, when they beat Crystal Palace 1:3 at the end of a tremendous turnaround with goals from Timur Werner (77′), Christian Romero (80′) and Yong Min Son (88′), Aberchi Eze ( 59′) only gave the lead to the eagles temporarily with a tremendous goal from a free kick. Next round the Roosters will meet Aston Villa for a critical and direct battle for fourth place in the table. On the other hand, Oliver Glasner’s team will host Luton and try to get important points against the team from the bottom.
59th minute, a goal! Crystal Palace went up 0:1: Aberchi Aza gave the visitors the lead with a perfect free kick.
78th minute, a goal! Tottenham equalized 1:1: Brennan Johnson passed a cross, Timur Werner arrived and scored in front of an empty net.
81st minute, a goal! Tottenham went up to 1:2: Christian Romero struck in to complete the turnaround for the Roosters.
88th minute, a goal! Tottenham went up to 1:3: Jung Min Son scored with ease from close range to wrap things up for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Brentford – Chelsea 2:2
Pochettino’s team continued to falter when they finished 2:2 against the Wasps in the London derby. The Blues took the lead with a goal by Nicholas Jackson in a strike (35), Rorislav Rasmussen (49′) and Johan Wiesa (68′) with one of the goals of the season in a tremendous amount, turned. Axel Disassi (82′) sealed the result of the game. The visitors continued to look bad and will meet Newcastle in the next round for a tough game, the host gained an important point in the bottom battles before meeting Arsenal in the next round.
Minute 35, a goal! Chelsea went up to 0:1: Nicholas Jackson rose superbly to tap in from Malo Gusto’s level to give the Blues the lead.

68th minute, a goal! Brentford went up to 1:2: Johan Wiesa scored one of the goals of the season with a curler from outside the box to complete the comeback for Thomas Frank’s side.
82nd minute, a goal! Chelsea equalized 2:2: Cole Palmer made a great save, Axel Disassi didn’t mess around and brought Pochettino’s team back into the game.
Newcastle – Wolves 0:3
The Magpies looked good and rose to seventh place, after a bad period and beat the Wolves with goals from Alexander Issac (14′), Anthony Gordon (33′) and Tino Liberamento (90+2). In the next round they will meet Chelsea for a tough battle. In contrast, Gary O’Neill’s team lost ground and dropped to 10th place and will meet Fulham in the next round for an intriguing game.
Minute 15, a goal! Newcastle went up to 0:1: Alexander Issac headed in from a rebound from a kick by Bruno Guimaraes.
Minute 33, a goal! Newcastle went up to 0:2: Anthony Gordon pushed in from close range to double the Magpies’ lead.
90+2 minutes, a goal! Newcastle went up to 0:3: Substitute Tino Liberamento sealed the final result, an impressive win for Eddie Howe’s side.
Fulham – Brighton 0:3
The Cottagers achieved an impressive victory with goals from Harry Wilson (22′), Rodrigo Muniz (33′) and Adama Traore (90+1) and continued their positive momentum as they recorded a second consecutive win in the league. On the other hand, De Zarby’s team continued to look bad, losing for the second time in a row and dropping to ninth place in the table. The Seagulls will have to come to their senses quickly before the meeting against Roma in the Europa League.
22nd minute, a goal! Fulham went up to 0:1: Harry Wilson took advantage of a defensive error and finished superbly to give the hosts the lead.
Minute 33, a goal! Fulham went up to 0:2: Wilson’s superb lift found the head of Rodrigo Muniz who tapped in from close range to double the Cottagers’ lead.
90+1 minute, a goal! Fulham went up to 0:3: This is already a defeat. Adama Traore sealed the deal when he nailed the hosts’ third.
Everton – West Ham 3:1
The Toffees lost a dramatic 3:1 to the Hammers when they hosted them at Goodison Park. Beto (56′) actually put the host in the lead after also missing a penalty, Kurt Zouma (62′), Thomas Suchek (90+2) and Edson Alvarez (90+6) converted. Sean Dyche’s team continued their bad streak and have not won in the league for 10 consecutive games, as they are stuck at the bottom and will meet Manchester United in the next round. On the other hand, David Moyes’ team rose to seventh place and will meet Burnley in the next round, before that they will play against Freiburg in the Europa League.
44th minute, missed penalty: The Toffees were awarded a penalty kick from 11 metres. Beto kicked and Alphonse Areola headed.
56th minute, a goal! Everton went up to 0:1: Beto Haifa missed the penalty when he got up and hit Areola’s net from close range.
62nd minute, a goal! West Ham drew 1:1: Kurt Zouma headed in from a corner kick to level the scores.
90+2 minutes, a goal! West Ham went up to 1:2: Tomas Sucek scored a great goal and completed the turnaround of the Hammers.
90+6 minutes, a goal! West Ham went up to 1:3: Edson Alvarez finished great in the chip and finished the story.
Luton – Aston Villa 3:2
A thrilling day in the Premier League was capped off with another dramatic finish as Unai Emery’s side hosted Kenilworth Road. Villa’s hot man this season – Ollie Watkins continued to be hot and scored a great pair (24′, 38′) in the first half. The story turned after the break, when Tahit Chong narrowed it to 2:1 in the 66th minute and Carlton Morris equalized in the 72nd minute after a precise lift from Alfie Doughty. Nevertheless, the guest did not give up and in the 89th minute Luca Dean restored the advantage in a dramatic way and established a 2:3 victory at the end, just before they will be hosted by Ajax in the round of 16 of the Conference League.
