A 64-year-old man was slightly injured today (Wednesday) in a stabbing attack on Neve Ya’akov Boulevard in Jerusalem. The MDA team gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to the Hadassah Ein Hascofus Hospital in a stable condition and fully conscious.
The stabber fled the scene after the stabbing, and the security forces conducted a manhunt for him, until they arrested a suspect – a 14-year-old boy from East Jerusalem. The suspect was handed over to the security forces for investigation.

It was around 2:10 p.m. when the police received an initial report from the MDA center about a stabbing at a bus station in the Neve Ya’akov neighborhood in Jerusalem. Many police forces from the Jerusalem District Police were called to the scene, who arrived at the scene in a short time and immediately after understanding the details of the incident began to chase the suspect’s tracks. who fled the scene.
In the meantime, the police closed the scene of the attack and located nearby the knife with which the attack was carried out. As mentioned, at the same time the Jerusalem district police began searching for the terrorist who escaped, and the helicopter of the air unit was launched to assist in the effort from the air. In a short time, police officers of the motorcycle team of the Jerusalem YSM together with Sheft station detectives located the terrorist who fled the scene of the attack, a 14-year-old resident of Kfar Aqab in the north of Jerusalem. The terrorist was located a few hundred meters from the scene by the police and he was arrested on the spot.
From a preliminary police investigation, it appears that the terrorist stabbed a man in the upper body from behind near a bus stop, and that this was a terrorist attack. As a result of the stabbing, that man in his sixties was injured, and was referred for medical treatment at the hospital in a mild-moderate condition. Many police forces under the command of the Jerusalem District Commander, Superintendent Doron Turgeman, arrived at the scene and began investigating the attack.

Later, the Jerusalem district police arrested another suspect, a 14-year-old resident of Kfar Aqab, for questioning at the Jerusalem District Court. Although in practice the arrested terrorist carried out the attack alone, the police are now examining his connection to the terrorist and his involvement, as far as it was in the stabbing attack.
