The price of the dollar in some banks exceeded 50 pounds during Wednesday’s trading, coinciding with the Central Bank’s interest rate hike in an extraordinary meeting.
The Central Bank of Egypt raised the interest rate by 6% at once on deposits and lending in an extraordinary meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee today.
The central interest rate rose after the increase to 27.25% for deposits and 28.25% for lending.
Masrawy monitors the price of the dollar today, Monday, against the pound in 9 banks operating in Egypt at the end of trading, compared to its level yesterday.
