Al-Hilal is close to qualifying for the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League with a 2-0 victory over its guest, Al-Ittihad, which ended an all-Saudi summit in the first leg of the tournament’s 8th round with 10 players after N’Golo Kante was sent off on Tuesday.
Aleksandar Mitrovic gave Al Hilal the lead with a penalty kick 5 minutes before the break. Two minutes later, Salem Al-Dosari added the second goal after a pass from Malcolm.

After reviewing the video assistant referee, Kante was sent off for a violent intervention on Al Hilal defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the 66th minute.
Al Hilal controlled the match from the beginning. While Al-Ittihad, which lacked the efforts of Karim Benzema due to injury, did not create any threat to goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais.
The return match will be held in Jeddah next Tuesday.
