Fannin County, Texas — Super Tuesday proved to be a consequential Republican primary election in Fannin County with voters going to the polls to select a new district judge, district attorney and county sheriff, as well as two commissioners and two new constables.
Runoffs in May will be necessary to determine the sheriff’s race as well as the commissioner of precinct 3.
Texas has open primaries which allows voters to cast a ballot in either a Republican or Democratic primary, however voters cant switch parties if they cast a vote in a subsequent runoff election.
On the other hand if someone didnt vote during the March election, they will be allowed to vote in the party runoff of their choice in the May runoff election.
