Despite the suffering that the people are experiencing Gaza They were starved by the Israeli occupation, the destruction of their homes, their displacement, and the fall of thousands of martyrs. However, all of this did not prevent the children of Gaza from celebrating the advent of the holy month, as pictures and videos of Gazan children carrying lanterns celebrating the most famous Ramadan songs spread on social media sites.
Celebrations of the people of Gaza
The “Eye on Gaza” page published a cheerful video from a shelter center in northern Gaza of children celebrating the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, and commented on it: “Internally displaced Palestinians in schools in northern Gaza celebrate the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.”
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti singer Hammoud Al-Khader posted a video of children from Gaza singing his song “Marhaba Ya Hilal,” which is one of the most famous songs related to the month of Ramadan on social networking sites, and commented on the video: “The most beautiful person who sang it.”
Despite these few videos, the British newspaper “The Guardian” shed light on the other painful side of the war and the situation in the besieged Gaza Strip on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, and said that “seventy days after the residents of Gaza were forced to leave their home in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Strip.” They are preparing to spend Ramadan in harsh conditions, amidst death, fear of new attacks from the Israeli occupation, and lack of food, medicine, and any semblance of normal life.”
