Al Hilal enters the Guinness Book of Records
Al-Hilal team won against Al-Ittihad with a score of 2-0 in the match that was held between them on Tuesday evening, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium (Radiant Jewel), in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the current version of the AFC Champions League 2023-2024, to qualify with a total score of 4-0 after a decision. Going 2-0 too.
According to the Guinness World Records website, the Welsh New Saints previously held the record of 27 consecutive wins, between August 14, 2016 and December 30, 2016, when they broke a record achieved by the Dutch Ajax (26 consecutive victories) between 1971 and 1972..
Al-Hilal succeeded in equalizing it between September 25, 2023 and March 8, 2024, before destroying it and becoming alone at the top after its victory over Al-Ittihad by reaching 28 consecutive victories.
The last match in which Al Hilal failed to win dates back to last September 21, when it tied with Damak (1-1) in the league.
