Returned from the graves of the righteous: 3 returned sons were killed in an accident near the Givat Assaf intersection

Three young men from the ‘Shubo Benim’ community, who returned this morning (Wednesday) from praying at the tombs of Elazar and Itmar in the village of Avarta in Samaria, were killed in a car accident on Route 60, near the Givat Assaf intersection in Binyamin.

The accident happened, apparently, when a private vehicle flew over the safety fence of the road. The three were trapped in the vehicle. Rescue teams that arrived at the scene rescued them, and they were pronounced dead on the spot.

Rescuers evacuated three injured people, one seriously and two moderately, to the Hadassah Mount Scopus and Shaare Zedek hospitals.

MDA paramedic Nadav Tayeb said: “This is a very serious accident in which a vehicle that apparently collided with a safety rail rolled into a nearby wadi. When we arrived at the scene, we saw the vehicle that was badly damaged and the injured were lying next to it.

“Three young men about 20 years old were unconscious without a pulse and without breathing, we performed medical tests on them, but unfortunately their injuries were critical and we had to pronounce them dead.

“Another injured person, a 16-year-old boy who was trapped inside the vehicle, was unconscious with serious injuries mainly on his upper body. During the rescue operations, we gave him life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit, as his condition was serious and unstable. Two other injured people from the vehicle were evacuated in a moderate condition in an MDA intensive care vehicle to the hospitals where their condition is moderate and stable.”
