The virtue of Surat An-Nisa and what it contains: Surat An-Nisa is a Medinan surah, and it has one hundred and seventy-six verses, and it is the fourth surah of the Qur’an. The Holy Quran.
Al-Bukhari narrated on the authority of Aisha, who said: “Surat An-Nisa was not revealed except while I was with the Messenger of God Peace be upon him. Her life with the Prophet began in Shawwal of the first year of the Hijra.
The virtue of Surat An-Nisa
Concerning the virtue of Surat An-Nisa, it was narrated by Al-Hakim in his Mustadrak on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Masoud. He said: In Surat An-Nisa there are five verses that make me happy to have this world and everything in it: {God does not do even the slightest bit of injustice} (An-Nisa: 40), and {If you avoid the major sins that you are forbidden from doing} (An-Nisa: 31), and {God does not forgive anyone associating others with Him, but He forgives anything less than that to whomever He wishes} (An-Nisa: 48) and {If only, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you} (An-Nisa: 64). Then Al-Hakim said: This is an authentic chain of narration if Abd al-Rahman heard from his father, but there is disagreement over that. This is supported by what was narrated by Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Jarir Al-Tabari On the authority of Ibn Masoud, in a similar manner.
Suitable for the Imran family
There are similarities and connections between the two surahs, the most important of which are:
1 – Conclusion Al Imran With the command to piety for believers, and the opening of this Surah with that for all people.
2 – The revelation of a verse {What do you have about hypocrites, there are two categories?. .} (Surat An-Nisa: 88). Marking The Battle of UhudWith the revelation of sixty verses in the Battle of Al Imran.
3 – The revelation of the verse {And do not become faint in seeking the people} (Surat An-Nisa: 104) on the occasion of the Battle of Hamra al-Asad after the revelation of the verses {Those who responded to God and the Messenger after the wound had afflicted them} in that battle against the family of Imran (172-175).
reason of calling
It was called “Surat An-Nisa’ Al-Kubra” because of the large number of rulings it contains regarding women Surat Al-Talaq Opposite it is “Surat An-Nisa’ Al-Qasra.”
What is included in the Surah?
The surah included talk about the provisions of the small family – the first social unit, and the great family – the Islamic society and its relationship with human society. It wonderfully demonstrated the unity of origin and human origin in that all people are from one soul, and placed a watchdog on the general social relationship by commanding fear of God in oneself and others, in secret and in public. .
The Surah spoke at length about the provisions for women, daughters and wives, and explained the woman’s complete eligibility and independence of her financial liability from the man, even if he was a husband, and her marital rights in the family, such as dowry, maintenance, good treatment, and inheritance from the estate of her father or husband, the provisions of marriage, the sanctity of the marital relationship, the mahram bond, and intermarriage. How to resolve the dispute between spouses, and taking care of the marriage contract, and the reason for the man’s guardianship. It is not a tyrannical authority, but rather a fine, responsibility, and liability for managing the affairs of this small institution.
Then the Surah explained the balance of social ties and that they are based on mutual advice, solidarity, compassion and cooperation, to strengthen the structure of the nation.
The patterns and images of this society’s relationship with other societies, whether with groups or countries, were integrated. The Surah defined the rules of morality and international dealings, some of the provisions for peace and war, aspects of debating and discussing with the People of the Book, and the resulting focused campaign against the hypocrites. All of this is for the sake of establishing a virtuous society in the land of Islam and purifying it from the deviation of the faith and its deviation from the pure rational “doctrine of monotheism” to the complex Christian idea of the Trinity, which is far from the scope of rational persuasion and psychological reassurance, as God Almighty said: {And do not say: Three. Abstain from that which will be better for you. Rather, God is one God} (Surat An-Nisa: 171).
