The price of gold rose today, Friday, in the middle of trading, by about 60 pounds compared to the prices at the beginning of trading, according to data from the General Division for Gold and Jewelry at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.
The price of a gram of gold rose by 60 pounds at the beginning of trading, before it rose again in the middle of trading by the same value.

14-karat gold prices fell to 1,980 pounds per gram.
The price of 18 karat gold fell to about 2546 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 carat gold fell to 2970 pounds per gram.
The price of 24 karat gold fell to 3394 pounds per gram.

The price of the gold pound fell to 23,760 pounds, and the price may vary from one merchant to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound.
Gold price globally
The global price of gold rose to about $2,167 per ounce (an ounce is equivalent to about 31.1 grams of 24 karat gold) in midday trading on Friday, an increase of 0.25%, according to the latest update of Bloomberg data.
