Bayer Leverkusen of Germany reserved a place in the quarter-finals of the European Football League, following its exciting victory over its guest, Karbaj of Azerbaijan, 3-2, in the second leg of the round of sixteen of the competition.

Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen snatched the ticket to the quarter-finals of the European Football League, following its exciting victory over its guest, Azerbaijan’s Karbaj 3-2, in the second leg of the sixteenth round of the competition.
The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw in Azerbaijan, with Leverkusen qualifying, benefiting from a 5-4 win on aggregate.
Carbag took the lead in the 58th minute through Abdullah Al-Zubair, before his colleague Juninho added the second goal in the 67th minute.
In the 72nd minute, Jeremy Frimpong scored Leverkusen’s first goal, and in the third minute of stoppage time for the second half, Patrik Cech scored the equalizer.
As the match headed into extra time, Leverkusen succeeded in snatching victory thanks to Patrik Cech’s goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time for the second half, scoring the winning goal for his team and his second personal goal.
English Liverpool
For its part, Liverpool of England defeated its guest, Sparta Prague, Czech Republic, 6-1, to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Liverpool had won the first leg away from home 5-1, qualifying as winners 11-2 on aggregate.
Darwin Nunez gave Liverpool the lead in the seventh minute, and one minute later Bobby Clarke scored the second goal, while Mohamed Salah added the third goal in the tenth minute.
In the 14th minute, Cody Jacobo scored the fourth goal for Liverpool, while Veljko Bermancevic scored the only goal for Sparta Prague in the 42nd minute.
In the 48th minute, Dominik Soboslai scored the fifth goal for Liverpool, while Cody Jacobo completed the scoring by scoring his second goal in the match in the 55th minute.
After Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah scored his goal in the match, he became the first player in Liverpool’s history to score at least 20 goals in all the tournaments he participated in for seven consecutive seasons.
Italian Atalanta
Italian Atalanta reached the quarter-finals, after defeating its guest, Sporting Lisbon of Portugal, 2-1.
The first leg in Portugal ended in a 1-1 draw, with Atalanta qualifying with a 3-2 win on aggregate.
Sporting Lisbon took the lead through Pedro Gonsalves in the 33rd minute, but Ademola Lookman scored the equalizer for Atalanta in the 46th minute.
In the 59th minute, Gianluca Scamaca scored the second goal for Atalanta.
Italian Rome
Italian Roma qualified for the quarter-finals, despite losing to its English host, Brighton, 0-1.
Roma benefited from its great victory in the first leg with a clean 4-0 victory, qualifying as a 4-1 winner on aggregate.
Danny Welbeck scored the only goal of the match for Brighton in the 37th minute.
