Hapoel Beer Sheva is keeping its stars for the next seasons: this morning, after negotiations with its agent Gilad Katsav, the team’s goalkeeper Niv Eliasi signed for 4 more seasons at the club from the Negev capital.

The young 22-year-old goalkeeper, who came from the “Aliya” club in Kfar Saba, got the opportunity between the posts this season following the injury of the first goalkeeper Ofir Marciano. Since then, Eliasi has become a key figure in the team and among the sole responsible for the convincing winning streak during the second round. So far, the goalkeeper has started in 21 games, conceded 17 goals and kept a clean sheet in 9 games.

Eliasi said at the signing ceremony: “Extending the contract is a natural move for me. I found a warm home here, which has become a family for me, both professionally and in terms of the audience.”

The goalkeeper added: ”On this occasion, I want to thank all the fans for the great love they shower on me in the stands and outside. Thanks to Eliniv and the professional team for trusting me. I will continue to work hard in every practice and game to improve from game to game and give my all for the club’s success.”
