Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up on the position of implementing the advance shipping system, in the presence of Engineer Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, Mohamed Abu Musa, Assistant Governor of the Central Bank, Essam Omar, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Al-Shahat Al-Ghatouri, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority, and Dr. Mona Nasser, Assistant Minister of Finance. For follow-up affairs, project management and customs development, Dr. Amani Al-Wasal, Head of the Commercial Agreements Sector at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Ahmed Al-Asqalani, Head of the Central Administration for Foreign Trade.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister renewed his reference to the government’s continuing efforts, in coordination and cooperation with the Central Bank of Egypt, to quickly and immediately release goods located in various ports across the Republic, in light of the foreign currency being made available, which contributes significantly to the release of more goods. Goods, especially basic commodities, medicines, feed, and production requirements.

Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that during the meeting, an analysis of the values ​​of the numbers of goods registered with the “pre-registration of shipments” system and their classifications was reviewed, and the values ​​of the goods released, to date, were reviewed.

The official spokesman added that the meeting discussed the position of the various logistics centers at customs ports, in which the “Nafza” system was implemented, and the performance rate for the average approval time after implementing the system compared to previous periods.

Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani noted that during the meeting, the position on dealing with the pre-registration system for shipments was reviewed, where reference was made to the total number of certificates issued, the size of those dealing with the system, and the total number of foreign exporters on the system.
