President Sisi to the “monopolists”: It is possible for the government to intervene and acquire goods in order to balance the market

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the government to study participation in controlling markets by offering goods to the markets, saying: “Dr. Mostafa, the people who work in the private sector with regard to goods… Before me, when they said a free economy, the goal was to provide opportunity for everyone, and the government backed down.” Regarding this role… Of course, without a doubt, I admit that the past period was difficult… We have overcome this period and there is stability.”

President Sisi added, during his speech at the celebration of the Egyptian Women’s Day and the Ideal Mother: “When we confront monopoly and the institutions concerned… they fear and bring goods worth 2-3 billion in order to create a balance in the market… I will not be able to say anything or question anyone’s conscience or conscience.” Someone’s patriotism… means you do this and go out for Hajj or collect zakat… I’m not saying anyone is a monster… we’re afraid and we send and get goods and the state is afraid again… and we’re the ones who save the dollar for them… Okay, that’s it.”
