The “Asian Champion” Qatari team continued its good performances with a 3-0 victory over its Kuwaiti counterpart today, Thursday, in the double Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.

Afif gave Qatar the lead two minutes after the start of the second half, taking advantage of a mistake by the Kuwaiti defense to clear a cross before Ahmed Al-Rawi made the score 2-0.

Afif, who appeared as number 10 instead of Hassan Al-Haydos, who retired internationally, concluded Qatar’s goals with a volley over the goalkeeper in the 68th minute.
