Aiten Amer explained: “The woman may remain enlightened after the divorce, but not because of the divorce. She was enlightened before, but there is a period in which she remains exhausted and begins to lose part of her psychological peace, health, and mind. When the divorce occurs, the woman becomes enlightened again as she was enlightened before.”
She added: “It is not a good thing for someone to lose someone from their family. People look at the woman who got divorced and that she has taken care of herself more and has become more enlightened, but no one saw her loneliness when she returned home. There is no one to forget her and no place to live in her… a difficult topic, not an easy one.”
Aiten Amer is currently participating in the series “One Wife is Not Enough” with Majed Al-Masry, Cynthia Samuel, Hoda Hussein, Sahar Hussein, Fatima Al-Safi, directed by Ali Al-Ali and written by Heba Mishari Hamada, and shown on MBC1 and the Shahid platform.
