Ashraf Abdel Aziz, the lawyer of Al-Ahly player Hussein El-Shahat, revealed the truth about what was recently reported about setting a session to try his client in the case brought against him by Pyramids defender Mohamed El-Shahat.

Hani Bakri, Mohamed Al-Shaibi’s lawyer, had previously confirmed to the media that the Nasr City Misdemeanor Court had set next April 18 as the date to consider the charges for which the Public Prosecution referred Hussein Al-Shahat and to defend himself.

Ashraf Abdel Aziz said in exclusive statements to: “Sunrise”: “I filed a complaint before the Acting First Public Prosecutor of the Cairo Appeals Prosecution, against Hani Bakri, the player’s lawyer, Mohamed Al-Shaibi, after his statements regarding setting a hearing for next April to consider the trial of my client, Hussein Al-Shahat.”

He added: “I demand that Hani Bakri extract the case papers and the session that has been set, and the player has not been notified of any date for his trial.”

He continued: “I asked the Public Prosecution to summon Gamal Allam, President of the Football Association, and Amer Hussein, Chairman of the Competitions Committee of the Club Association. To hear their statements regarding the incident regarding the imposition of a penalty on Hussein Al-Shahat.

He concluded: “I also requested that the refereeing team be summoned for this match that brought together Al-Ahly and Pyramids, in addition to obtaining a copy of the match observer’s report as well.”
