Officials of the Tanzanian club Simba club expressed their condolences after the death of one of its fans and the injury of another before the team’s important match against its guest, Al-Ahly of Egypt, today, Friday, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League at the “Benjamin Mkapa” Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Simba explained, “The first incident involved fans of the Kwiera Rungwe branch in the Mbeya region, as it happened in the Vigwaza area of Bwani, and information received from the police indicates that one person was killed.”
The statement added, “The second accident occurred at the Red Border branch of Tandoma and occurred in Douma, Morogoro region. Reports from the accident site indicate that one person was injured, and Simba leaders are already heading to the site of the accident to provide assistance to the victims. The leadership apologizes to all those affected and the families, as well as all the Simba people in general.” .
In the same context, officials of the Tanzanian Young Africans Club offered condolences to the victims of Simba Club.
It is noteworthy that Young Africans will host Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa, tomorrow, Saturday, in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, also at the same stadium.
