Where it was reported from him, peace and blessings of God be upon him, that he said: “The most beloved prayer to God is the prayer of David, peace be upon him, and the most beloved to God is the fasting of David. He made a mistake, and he fasted one day and broke his fast one day.” [متفق عليه]
▪️It is a voluntary prayer, the time of which begins after the Isha and Tarawih prayers and continues until the end of the night.
▪️The best time to pray Tahajjud prayer is the last third of the night, or close to dawn, as it is the time of magic, reverence, and the manifestation of the divine blessings upon those who stand up, seek forgiveness, and remember.
▪️It is distinguished from other night prayers in that it takes place after the Muslim sleeps for a short period of time, after which he gets up to pray Tahajjud at midnight, and prays two light rak’ahs, then after that he prays as many rak’ahs as he wants, two rak’ahs by rak’ahs, and performs the Witr prayer at the end of it.
On the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “The night prayer is two by two, so if you want to leave, perform a rak’ah that will be sufficient for the length of time you have prayed.” [متفق عليه]
