The mother of Rehab Rushdi, known as the “Barajil Girl,” and her siblings collapsed during her funeral to her final resting place in the family cemetery in the Mansouriya area in Giza.
Screams of grief and sorrow arose from the girl’s family, amidst tears of separation and pain, amid chants expressing their intense pain for her loss, saying: “We will never forget you, Rehab… Leave me alone, my love.”
The funeral ceremony witnessed a huge presence from the people of Al-Barajil village and neighboring villages, where an atmosphere of sadness spread, with a large number of people gathering to offer their condolences and condolences to the family of the deceased.
The funeral prayer was held in the Al-Qibli Mosque in Al-Barajil, in the presence of hundreds of people who came to bid farewell to the girl, before her body was released from the Zeinhom morgue in Cairo.
The competent prosecution confirmed that the body of the “Barajil Girl” was buried after the forensic doctor examined it to determine the causes and circumstances of death, and indicated that it would conduct in-depth investigations into the incident and its circumstances, to verify the presence of criminal suspicion in her death.
