Mitrovic left Al Hilal’s match against Al-Shabab in the 36th minute of the match, after he collapsed without any intervention, due to the injury he suffered.
Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus said during the press conference: “Initially, Mitrovic has a muscular injury, and tomorrow he will conduct a medical examination on the site of his injury to confirm it accurately“.
After Jesus confirmed that the injury was muscular, Thamer Al-Shahrani, a physical therapist, revealed, through his account on the “X” social networking site, that Mitrovic’s injury might make him miss facing Al-Nasr, in the Saudi Super Cup.
Thamer wrote on his account: “If Mitrovic’s injury is a muscle tear of any degree, even if it is the first, he will not participate in the next 3 matches (Al-Akhdoo, Al-Khaleej, Al-Nasr). As for the Asian matches, it will become clear after the examination.”
