Paris Saint-Germain wins the summit match against Marseille and takes another step closer to the French League title
League Plus – Paris Saint-Germain moved one step closer to the French League title after defeating its host Marseille with two clean goals in the match that brought together the two teams on Sunday evening at the Velodrome Stadium in the twenty-seventh round of the French League.

In the second half, despite the lack of numbers, Paris Saint-Germain was able to take the lead in the 53rd minute through Vitinha after a pass from Ousmane Dembélé following a wonderfully executed counterattack.
Goncalo Ramos was able to score the second goal for Paris Saint-Germain in the 85th minute after a perfect pass from Marco Asensio.
Paris Saint-Germain’s score rose to 62 points at the top, a full 12 points behind its closest competitor, Brest, and the French capital club now needs only 10 points in the last 7 rounds to retain the league title.
On the other hand, Marseille’s score stopped at 39 points, and was 3 points away from the closest qualifying positions for the European Club Championships.
