Today, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, the new headquarters of the House of Representatives in the New Administrative Capital witnessed the swearing-in session of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for a new presidential term, following his victory in the 2024 presidential elections, after obtaining the highest number of voters’ votes at 89.6%.
The session ceremony began with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Hanafi Gebali, reading the message received from the National Elections Authority announcing President Sisi’s victory for a new presidential term. Then the President of the Republic arrived at the session headquarters and took the constitutional oath before the House of Representatives.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Hanafi Jabali, said at the beginning of his speech “Dear members, on the eighteenth of last December, the National Elections Commission issued Resolution No. 39 of 2023, which included in its second article the announcement of the victory of President Abdel Fattah Saeed Hassan Khalil Al-Sisi, known as Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, as President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.”
He added, “Dear members, in accordance with the text of Article 144 of the Constitution, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, kindly takes the constitutional oath.”
Subsequently, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was sworn in as President of the Republic for a term A new term lasts for 6 years.

In his speech, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi presented the features and objectives of national action during the next phase, saying: “In this context and in response to the people’s assignment of me to continue leading the march of our great nation, I place before you the most important features and objectives of national action during the next phase:
Firstly :At the level of Egypt’s foreign relations, there is a priority to protect and preserve Egypt’s national security in a turbulent regional and international environment, and to continue working to strengthen balanced relations with all parties in a new world whose features are taking shape and in which Egypt plays an indispensable role in consolidating stability, security, peace, and development.
secondly :On the political level, completing and deepening the national dialogue during the next phase and implementing the recommendations that have been agreed upon at various levels: political, economic, social and other within the framework of strengthening the foundations of political and democratic participation, especially for young people.
Third : Adopting strategies that maximize Egypt’s economic capabilities and resources, enhancing the resilience and flexibility of the Egyptian economy in the face of crises while achieving strong, sustainable and balanced economic growth, enhancing the role of the private sector as a primary partner in leading development, focusing on the sectors of agriculture, industry, communications, information technology and tourism, and increasing their contribution. Gradually increasing the gross domestic product, as well as increasing the agricultural area and productivity to contribute to achieving food security for Egypt and attracting more local and foreign investments, to provide millions of sustainable job opportunities while giving priority to local manufacturing programs to increase exports and Egypt’s foreign exchange earnings.
Fourthly : Adopting a comprehensive institutional reform aimed at ensuring financial discipline and achieving sound governance by rationalizing public spending, enhancing public revenues, and moving towards more sustainable paths for public debt, as well as transforming Egypt into a regional center for transport and transit trade, new and renewable energy, green hydrogen and its derivatives, in addition to maximizing the economic role of the Suez Canal.
Fifth:Maximizing the benefit of Egypt’s human resources by increasing the quality of education for our children, as well as continuing to activate programs and initiatives aimed at improving the public health of citizens, and completing the stages of the comprehensive health insurance project.
Sixthly : Supporting social safety networks, increasing the proportion of spending on social protection, increasing allocations for the cash support program “Solidarity and Dignity”, as well as complete completion of the stages of the “Decent Life” initiative, which is the largest development initiative in the history of Egypt, which will achieve a tremendous improvement in the standard of living of citizens in the targeted villages.
Seventh: Continuing to implement the strategic plan for urban development and completing the establishment of new fourth-generation cities while developing major unplanned areas, and completing the “Housing for All Egyptians” program, which primarily targets youth and low-income families.
President Sisi concluded his speech By reciting a verse from the Holy Qur’an: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful {Lord, you have given me dominion and taught me the interpretation of hadiths, Creator of the heavens and the earth, You are my guardian in this world and the hereafter, take me to death a Muslim and join me with the righteous}.

Wreath of flowers and raising the flag in People’s Square:
Following the end of the ceremony for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to be sworn in as President of the Republic for a new term at the House of Representatives headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, President El-Sisi laid a wreath on the memorial in People’s Square in the Administrative Capital.
