Heavy rain, sand, and dust… Meteorology announces the weather for the coming hours

The General Meteorological Authority announced details of the weather for the coming hours, which will witness rain of varying intensity in a large number of cities, including Greater Cairo.

The General Authority of Meteorology said that today’s weather is witnessing rain of varying intensity over various areas of the north of the country, as the country is affected during this period by an extension of an air depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere accompanied by air masses coming from northern Europe that work to return temperatures to their normal levels in such areas as This time of year.

The authority indicated that moderate rain is expected to fall, which may be heavy and sometimes thundery, in areas of (Matrouh – Alexandria – Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh – Damietta), and the rain will be moderate and sometimes thundery in separate areas of (South Lower Egypt).

The authority continued: “The rain will be light to moderate in the evening on areas of (the northeastern coasts, central Sinai, the canal cities, and areas of Greater Cairo, and light rain may extend to areas of Fayoum and Beni Suef).

The Meteorological Authority confirmed that the weather will be cold at night and early in the morning in the north of the country, warm during the day in the north of the country, and hot in the south, and the expected maximum temperature in Greater Cairo will be 26 degrees.

The authority indicated that there is wind activity, which increases the feeling of cold weather in various areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts, and that it raises sand and dust in areas of the Western Desert and northern Upper Egypt.
