Don’t judge: Keanu Reeves kisses his partner with his eyes open
In a rare appearance of the ‘Matrix’ star with his partner of five years, Alexandra Grant, on the red carpet at the art gala of a museum in Los Angeles – the two made headlines for the way they kiss
The Canadian actor Keanu Reeves arrived with his partner, the American artist Alexandra Grant, to the gala event of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, known as MOCA.
While this is a rare appearance of the two together, everyone is talking about the way Reeves kisses – with his eyes open.
Reeves and Grant walked the red carpet, and at some point the 59-year-old ‘Matrix’ star kissed his lover, eyes wide open. This is in contrast to the 54-year-old visual artist who closed her eyes as many are used to doing.
And apparently this is how Reeves tends to show his affection. At the same annual MOCA event held in 2023, Reeves also kissed his partner – and did not close his eyes, which even then drew headlines.
Reeves and Grant have been in a relationship since 2019, despite being good friends and even colleagues for almost a decade. But since declaring their love for each other, they have kept a low profile.
In September of last year, Grant gave an interview to People magazine where she said that Reeves is an “inspiration” for her.
“The good news about falling in love at an older age is that I built my own career by the time the relationship started. I feel very safe in this relationship, just as I feel safe on my own.”
