The Palestinian national team clinched its qualification to the final round of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup for the first time in its history after a draw with its Lebanese counterpart in the match that brought them together on Thursday evening at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club.

The match between them ended in a goalless draw, which was held in the fifth round of the World Cup qualifiers.

The match witnessed the exit of Wissam Abu Ali, the striker of the Palestine national team and Al-Ahly club, injured in the 95th minute of stoppage time.

With this result, the Palestine national team ranks second in the Group Nine standings with 8 points, while Lebanon comes in third place with 3 points.
