The ruling on hitting the face in Islam

It is proven that hitting the face is prohibited in Islam. It was stated in Sahih Al-Bukhari: “If one of you fights, let him avoid the face.” And in Sahih Muslim: “If one of you fights his brother, he should avoid doing so. It is forbidden according to the text of the hadith.”

It was mentioned in Subul al-Salam by Al-San’ani: On the authority of Abu Hurairah – may God be pleased with him – he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: If one of you fights, that is: someone else, as indicated by an actor: let him avoid the face, agreed upon.

And in a narration: If one of you strikes, and in a narration: He should not strike the face, the hadith, which is evidence of the prohibition of striking the face, and that he is pious and does not strike, or slap, even if it is within the legal limits, even in jihad, and that is; Because the face is gentle and combines good qualities, and its limbs are gentle and most noticeable, hitting the face may invalidate it, or it may decrease it, and it may disgrace the face, and disgrace in it is obscene. Because it is prominent and visible and cannot be covered, and when he is hit, he is often not spared from a shin, and this prohibition is general for any beating or slapping of discipline, or anything else.

The general meaning of the hadith indicates that hitting the face is absolutely forbidden, even if it is not painful.
