Sheikh Muhammad Eid Kilani, former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, confirmed that Hajj is an obligation and a beautiful manifestation of the true Islamic religion, noting that the sacrifice is a confirmed Sunnah from the Prophet for every able-bodied person.
Kilani added, during his meeting with the media, Faten Abdel Maboud, and Ahmed Diab, on the “Sabah Al-Balad” program, broadcast on the “Sada Al-Balad” channel, that the sacrifice is a Sunnah as an obligation for those who have it and those who are able and able, explaining that The sacrifice is made of camels, cows, and sheep.
The former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments continued: More than one family can participate in the two types of camels, provided that they are five years old, and cows must be two years old or less if the cow carries abundant and valuable meat.
He concluded: A lamb is sufficient for one family in the sacrifice, provided that it is not less than 6 months old, and there is no matter for those who are unable to sacrifice this year.
