Books – Mustafa Al-Gretli:
Zamalek coach Jose Gomez made an adjustment to his team’s formation to play the Al-Masry match scheduled for seven o’clock this evening, Monday, at Burj Al-Arab Stadium, as part of the matches of the twenty-sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League competition.
The technical staff appointed Mohamed Awad as goalkeeper instead of Mohamed Sobhi, after the latter complained of back pain during the warm-up. The technical staff decided to exclude him from the list and start with Mohamed Awad, with Mahmoud El-Shenawy, the rookie goalkeeper, on the bench.
The formation of Zamalek became:
Goalkeeper: Mohamed Awad.
Defense line: Ibrahima Ndiaye – Hamza Mathlouthi – Hossam Abdel Majeed – Mohamed Shehata.
Midfield: Nabil Imad Dunga – Ziad Kamal – Abdullah Al-Saeed.
Offensive line: Mustafa Shalabi – Nasser Mansi – Ahmed Mustafa “Zizou”.
On the bench are Mahmoud El-Shenawy, Yasser Hamad, Sayed Abdullah “Neymar,” Mohamed Ashraf “Rouqa,” Saif Jaafar, Mohamed El-Sayed, Ahmed Abdel-Rahim “Esho,” Travis Mutyaba, and Youssef Obama.
Zamalek enters the match in 11th place in the league standings, with 31 points on goal difference, ahead of El Gouna, 12th, two points ahead of Tala’ea El Gaish, 10th, and three points ahead of Ceramica Cleopatra, 10th.
On the other hand, the Al-Masry team, before the match, occupies second place in the league table with 39 points, two points behind Zad, the third-placed team, and 17 points behind the leaders, Pyramids.
