Tonight (Tuesday) the Turkish team beat the Georgian team 1:3 in a wonderful atmosphere of the “Turkish home crowd” , who painted red the stands that are usually painted yellow and black in Dortmund.

Guler became the youngest player to score on his Euro debut (19 and 114 days), when he broke Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for Portugal (19 and 128 days on his Euro 2004 debut). Giorgi Kuchorshvili almost equalized once more with a fine individual effort when he sent a ball into the crossbar, but it was not enough for another Georgian equaliser. In extra time (90+7) Krem Ektorkulu took advantage of the fact that Mardashvili went up to the last corner, sprinted to the Georgian square and scored the third in front of an open goal.
