Al-Ittihad Club is currently trying to sign a contract with Italian coach Stefano Pioli, in order to train as a successor to Argentine Marcelo Gallardo.
Louay Nazer, the new president of the federation, announced Gallardo’s departure from coaching the team, due to poor results.
Media personality Nicolo Schira revealed, through his account on the “X” social media platform, that the federation had offered Stefano Pioli a contract until 2026, with the option of renewing for one season.
Shira added: “The Union offered Pioli an amazing salary, in order to convince the former Milan coach, who recently rejected two offers from European clubs.”
It is noteworthy that Pioli was coaching Milan, before he was dismissed at the end of last season, due to the team’s unconvincing results under his leadership.
