The National Bank of Egypt has made available to its customers the new CashAway service, for holders of the bank’s bank cards, direct debit cards, and prepaid bank cards issued by local banks, through all consumer stores, “supermarkets,” and gas stations.
National Bank and CashAway service for withdrawing money from markets and gas stations
The National Bank indicated on its website that the bank made it possible, through the Cash Away service, to withdraw money through electronic point-of-sale (POS) machines, available in supermarkets and gas stations.
The National Bank of Egypt added that the cash withdrawal service through POS machines in supermarkets and gas stations is free, without any fees being applied to it.
The National Bank indicated that the CashAway service is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including holidays and official holidays in the country.
Cash denominations available for withdrawal via Cashway National Bank
Customers can go to the nearest market or gas station, and request a cash withdrawal in small denominations according to each customer’s need, through electronic point-of-sale (POS) machines available at the station or in the market for free, and without any additional fees.
The National Bank confirmed that the service is subject to the local cash withdrawal limits applied to each bank, and each card has its own applicable limits, and customers can withdraw cash in this way throughout the week, and also on weekly or official holidays.
This service is available in all governorates, inside gas stations and hypermarkets contracted with the National Bank of Egypt. The most prominent of which are “Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Sharqia, South Sinai, Ismailia, Beheira, Aswan, Assiut, Luxor, and the Red Sea.”
