A new survey published this evening (Monday) examined what the Israeli public thinks about the issue of the conscription law and regulating the status of yeshiva students, what is the solution, the distribution of mandates, the question of suitability for the prime ministership and what will happen in the event of a merger in the right-wing parties? All numbers from the survey.
According to the survey conducted by the “Sample” institute, for “News 12”, the “state camp” led by Benny Gantz with 23 seats, the “Likud” led by Benjamin Netanyahu with 20 seats. ‘Yesh Atid’ led by Yair Lapid with 15 mandates.
The one who continues to jump is Avigdor Lieberman whose party ‘Israel Beitno’ wins 14 mandates. The survey also shows that ‘Otzma Yehudit’ led by Itamar Ben Gabir with 9 mandates,
Shas led by Aryeh Deri with 10 mandates and ‘Torah Judaism’ with 8 mandates. The Labor-Meretz led by Yair Golan with 11 mandates.
Religious Zionism, led by Bezalel Smotrich, does not pass the threshold.
In the sector of the Arab parties: Ra’am led by Mansor Abbas with 5 mandates and Hadash-Ta’al led by Ayman Odeh wins 5 mandates.
The ‘State Right’ led by Gideon Sa’ar does not manage to pass the blocking percentage, so does the Balad faction which does not pass the blocking percentage.
According to the survey, the opposition gets stronger and gains 73 mandates, and the coalition weakens to 47 mandates.
The poll published in Hachot 12 also shows that in the event of a merger of right-wing parties – Liebmaran, Bennett, Sa’ar and Yossi Cohen – the party will win 25 seats. The Likud is weakened to 18 seats and the State Camp is weakened to 17 seats, Yesh Atid will win only 13 seats.
As for the question of compatibility for the prime ministership: between Benjamin Netanyahu and Naftali Bennett, Bennett leads with a compatibility of 39% compared to Netanyahu who receives a compatibility of 29%. Between Benjamin Netanyahu and Yair Lapid, Netanyahu leads with a match of 33% compared to Lapid who wins a match of 29%.
In addition, the survey also examined the issue of the conscription law and regulating the status of yeshiva students: on the question: “Do you support or oppose the conscription of most yeshiva students into the IDF?” A majority of 70% support the conscription of most yeshiva students. According to the survey, 17% oppose and 13 % do not know.
Also, 45% of the entire sample believes that all yeshiva students should be recruited, 41% of the entire sample believes that Torah students should be exempted from conscription, and only those who do not study should be recruited. On the other hand, only 3% believe that everyone should be exempted from conscription so that they enter the labor market.
