The rabbi of Beer Sheva, the Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Deri, was hospitalized tonight (Friday night) in intensive care at the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, in serious condition.
Rabbi Deri has been suffering from severe pain for the past few days and after he was taken to the hospital it turned out that he was suffering from an infection that got complicated.
Due to the worsening of his condition, on the advice of the elders of Israel, they added the name Raphael to the rabbi of Beer Sheva.
The rabbi’s family members asked the public to pray for his healing: please pray a lot and supplicate for the great healing of Beer Sheva Hagaon Rabbi Raphael Yehuda ben Esther for his speedy recovery.

The 66-year-old Rabbi Deri is running for the position of Chief Rabbi. He is the brother of Shas party chairman MK Aryeh Deri.
