The Brazilian and Paraguayan national teams announced the official line-ups for the decisive match that will start shortly in the second round of the 2024 Copa America, currently being held in the United States of America and will continue until July 15.
Brazil’s lineup was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker
Defense line: Danilo, Marquinhos, Eder Militao, Guilherme Arana
Midfield: Bruno Guimaraes, Luiz Gustavo, Rafinha, Paqueta
Offensive line: Vinicius Junior, Rodrigo
While Paraguay’s formation was as follows:
Goalkeeper Moronego
Defense line: Velazquez_Balbuena_Alderete_Espinoza.
Midfield: Matias_Cubas_Bobadilla.
Attacking line: Almiron_Arce_Ensescu.
The Seleção is armed with many stars in its ranks in order to achieve its first victory in the 2024 Copa America.
Paraguay vs Brazil
Brazil started their Copa America campaign with a disappointing goalless draw against Costa Rica, earning just one point from the first round.
Despite the mass of stars possessed by the Brazilian national team, led by Real Madrid duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrigo Goes, in addition to the promising striker Endric, the Seleção did not succeed in overcoming the Costa Rica obstacle.
The Samba team achieved a negative score after its draw with Costa Rica, as it has failed to achieve any official victory since last September, when it defeated Peru with a clean goal in the World Cup qualifiers. After that, it played 5 matches, without achieving a win in any of them, contenting itself with friendly victories throughout the current year.
The Brazilian national team is looking forward to achieving its first victory in the Copa America Championship at the expense of Paraguay in today’s match, in order to chase Colombia, the leader of Group D in the Copa America.
Brazil has one point to its credit, placing it second in Group 4 of the Copa America, tied with Costa Rica, while Colombia leads the standings with 3 points, and finally Paraguay is at the bottom of the standings with no points.
On the other hand, Paraguay hopes to make up for its first loss against Colombia with a surprise victory over Brazilian Samba today.
