Christian McCaffrey Marries Olivia Culpo In Rhode Island

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are officially married!

Culpo and McCaffrey tied the knot in Rhode Island on June 29, the model confirmed in a joint Instagram post with Vogue, featuring photos of her dress and details about the wedding.

The couple, who got engaged in April 2023, got married in a chapel located in the Watch Hill neighborhood of Westerly. TODAY.com has reached out to representatives for the couple for comment.

Culpo told the magazine that the couple always planned on getting married in a church, calling it their “number one priority.”

Culpo donned a modest dress for her wedding day, which she designed with Dolce & Gabbana. The ballgown featured a crew neckline and long sleeves, complementing a full skirt and delicate buttons down the back. Her look was completed with a lace trim veil, which doubled as a dramatic train to the dress.

When designing her dress with Dolce & Gabbana, she told Vogue that she wanted the gown to feel “as serious as that commitment” of marriage.

“I didn’t want it to exude sex in any way, shape or form,” she said of her wedding dress. “I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it’s complementing me, not overpowering me. There’s so much beauty and simplicity.”

Culpo also kept her makeup simple for her big day. She told Vogue that she didn’t wear much makeup at her wedding and opted out of wearing both mascara and brow gel for the occasion.

Her look was also inspired by McCaffrey.

“When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered and elegant,” she said.

During her conversation with the magazine, Culpo shared more details about her wedding day and marriage values, explaining, “It’s a covenant. It’s the beginning of the rest of your life—and it’s the union and bond of two people forever.”

In the days leading up to their wedding, the couple teased their nuptials on social media.

On June 24, Culpo shared a post on Instagram of the couple gearing up for their wedding weekend. She posted several snaps of the couple and a private plane, which included “Mr. & Mrs.” marquee letters outside of the jet, white petals lining the center aisle as well as a special menu for their “wedding flight.”

“Let it begin,” Culpo simply captioned the post.

McCaffrey also shared photos of the couple on Instagram June 26 of the couple donning wedding-themed attire.

The San Francisco 49ers star wore a tan suit over a T-shirt, while Culpo wore a retro looking white ensemble, including a pleated skirt, cap sleeve top and veil, paired with a thick white headband.

In one shot, the couple signed a document. But the running back didn’t divulge details, simply captioning the post with a white heart emoji.

The couple’s wedding comes more than five years since they were first linked in May 2019. They went red carpet official in February 2020 and adopted their first dog together in July 2020.

They experienced another milestone in October 2022 when they relocated from Charlotte, North Carolina, to San Francisco when McCaffrey was traded from the Carolina Panthers to the 49ers.
