The Pyramids and Smouha match will resume today, Tuesday, at 8:00 PM.
During the past period, this match sparked controversy in the sports community, after it was cancelled due to a fire in the Alexandria Stadium’s electrical room.
The Clubs Association decided to complete the Pyramids and Smouha match under the same conditions, with a score of 1-1, at Borg El Arab Stadium.
The association confirmed that the match will be completed from the 49th minute under the same conditions of the match (lineup, substitutions, warnings and expulsion).
Pyramids Club officials expressed their astonishment at the decision of the Clubs Association to complete the remainder of their team’s match against Smouha under the same conditions as the match that was cancelled.
Pyramids Club issued a statement yesterday evening, Monday, justifying its position and announcing its escalation of the matter to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the International Court of Arbitration for Sport, and the Federal Court.
Based on the league’s decision, Smouha’s lineup includes 10 players to complete the match against Pyramids, as follows:
Goalkeeper: Ahmed Ashraf “after El-Hany Soliman was sent off”.
Defense line: Tarek Alaa – Barakat Hagag – Ahmed Hakam – Hamdy Alaa.
Midfield: Canaria – Doko Dodo – Amr Qalawa.
Attack line: Mostafa El-Badry – Hossam Hassan.
On the other hand, the Pyramids lineup was as follows:
Goalkeeper: El-Shenawy.
Defense line: Al-Sheeb – Marai – Hamdi – Karim Hafez.
Midfield: Toure – Lachine – Lakay.
Attack line: Mostafa Fathi – Mayili – Ibrahim Adel.
