The new governor of Alexandria meets with the executive bodies to discuss the work plan for the coming period

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed received New Governor of AlexandriaHis duties at the General Diwan of the Governorate, and in his first duties at the job, he held a meeting with the executive bodies and heads of departments at the General Diwan of the Governorate, to discuss the work plan during the coming period, and he stressed that the interest of the citizen is the criterion for work during the coming period.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed was born on January 1, 1958, and graduated from the Naval College in 1978. He was appointed to the Navy with the rank of Lieutenant on June 16, 1978. He was promoted to Major General on January 1, 2008, and assumed the Chief of Staff of the Navy in April 2015 before being promoted by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Command of the Navy on December 17, 2016. He was also promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General on April 27, 2017.

The new governor of Alexandria rose through the necessary positions within the naval forces, until he reached the position of commander of the Matrouh Naval Base, then the Red Sea Naval Base, followed by the commander of the Alexandria Naval Base, and reached the position of Assistant Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, before assuming the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, then in 2021 he was appointed Commander of the Strategic Command and Supervisor of Military Manufacturing with the rank of Deputy Minister.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Studies in 1978. He also passed the elite “Executives” division, obtained a Master’s degree in Military Sciences from the Command and Staff College, and a fellowship from the Higher War College from the Nasser Higher Military Academy.

He obtained the primary diving squad in 1981, the specialized English language course in 1982, took the high seas captain certificate exam in February 1985, the mandatory administrative affairs squad in 1986, the advanced executive squad in 1991, the naval specialization staff course in 1993, successfully took the test to assume command of a floating naval unit in the high seas in 1993, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) course in 1999, the African strategy course in 2001, the higher war course in 2004, the media qualification course for leaders in 2012, and the higher course for senior leaders in 2013.

The new governor of Alexandria held many high-level leadership positions: Commander of the Qarwitah Suez, Commander of the destroyer Rashid, Commander of the frigate Toshka, Chief of Staff of the Destroyer Brigade, Commander of the First Brigade of Launches, Commander of the Destroyer Brigade, Chief of Staff of the Alexandria Naval Base, Commander of the Matrouh Naval Base, Commander of the Red Sea Naval Base, Commander of the Alexandria Naval Base, Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Head of the Naval Operations Division, Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, Commander of the Naval Forces on December 17, 2016, Commander of the Strategic Command and Supervisor of Military Manufacturing on December 14, 2021.

He received many medals, decorations and badges throughout his history full of honors, including: the Military Duty Medal, Second Class, the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, the Excellent Service Medal, the January 25, 2011 Medal, the Military Duty Medal, First Class, and the June 30 Medal.
