Cairo: In a repeat of the start of its journey in the last edition of the Egypt Cup Football Championship, which witnessed it obtaining the runner-up position, Zamalek opened its journey in the prestigious championship this season with a (repeated) victory over its guest, Brokerage, today, Thursday, to qualify as a result for the round of 16 of the competition.
Zamalek won 2/5 against Broker, who plays in the second division, in the round of 32 of the tournament, to continue its journey in the competition, and set a date with Tala’ea El-Geish in the next round.
The first 22 minutes witnessed 5 goals, as Mahab Yasser, Youssef Obama and Nasser Maher scored the first three goals for Zamalek in the 3rd, 6th and 8th minutes respectively, before Broksi responded with two goals through Hossam Adel and Adham Ahmed in the 19th and 22nd minutes respectively from a penalty kick.
