Al-Ahly team topped the current edition of the league table after defeating its counterpart, Al-Masry, by one goal to nil in a match that brought them together on Friday evening in a postponed match from the 18th round of the league.
Al-Ahly’s goal in the match was scored by its player Wissam Abu Ali in the 62nd minute with a header that he put into the net of Al-Masry.
Al-Ahly raised its score to 69 points, collected from 27 matches, with a goal difference over runner-up Pyramids, who played 30 matches.

The match began with mutual control of the ball by the players of both teams. In the 8th minute, Al-Masry player Salah Mohsen headed a cross that reached Al-Ahly’s penalty area next to the left post.
Al-Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy blocked a shot in the 11th minute from outside the penalty area before the referee showed a yellow card to Al-Masry player Mohamed El-Shamy in the following minute.

Al-Ahly player Hussein El-Shahat sent a through ball to his teammate Imam Ashour, who shot the ball into the Egyptian net in the 44th minute.
Wissam Abu Ali scored the first goal for Al-Ahly after he received a cross from the left side of the field and headed it into the net in the 62nd minute.
