Al-Hilal football team suffered a loss against South African Mamelodi Sundowns, with a score of (1-2), in a friendly match between the two teams, as part of the Austrian camp that prepares the two teams for the new sports season.
Al Hilal started its camp in Austria with a big win over Austrian Neustadt (6-0), and also achieved a win over Qatari Al Arabi (0-2), before suffering a loss to Sundowns (1-2).
It can be said that today (Friday) is a memorable day for the Sundowns squad, which put on a show of muscle, by defeating two teams in two friendly matches held today, namely Al Hilal and Al Arabi of Qatar.
Sundowns met Al Arabi this morning, and the match ended with a big win for the South African team with a score of (3-0), through Abubakar Naseer Ahmed, Maseko, and Matthews. Then, they played their second match against Al Hilal, with a different roster, to achieve a victory with two goals scored by Lucas Ribeiro and Modiba, while Aleksandar Mitrovic scored Al Hilal’s goal from the penalty spot, and another kick was awarded, which Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango successfully saved.
Al Hilal are scheduled to play two friendly matches against Italians Como 1907 and Udinese on July 29 and August 3, before returning to Riyadh, where the Saudi treble winners are preparing to start their new season against Al Ahli on August 13 in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final.
