Following the police announcement about the exposure of the undercover agent who operated among the customs officers and customs inspectors at the Port of Ashdod – the Ashdod Port Company wishes to clarify that there is no raid on the port and there are no arrests among the company’s employees – “The port is operating as usual”

After a rather dramatic morning and a great deal of uncertainty regarding the affair that exploded – the Port of Ashdod would like to clarify that, contrary to the initial reports, there was no raid on the Port of Ashdod and none of the company’s employees were arrested in the serious affair that was revealed.

In a statement issued by the Ashdod Port Company, it is written:

“The Ashdod Port Company wishes to clarify and emphasize that there was no raid at the Port of Ashdod this morning and no employees of the company were arrested, let alone senior officers. We wish to emphasize unequivocally that the investigation by the Tax Authority and the police does not involve employees of the port company. We will emphasize that the port functions as a hub and at full capacity.For the avoidance of doubt, we will ask to correct publications that contain them in order to mislead the public.”

The police spokeswoman said for clarification: contrary to the first publication issued this morning by one of the reporters, there was no raid on Ashdod port and no officials or port workers were arrested. It’s a shame that there are those who try to come out with unverified publications and it is only their responsibility.
