After not airing the episode with him several weeks ago, the “Radical” podcast uploaded a new episode yesterday (Thursday) about Zvi Sukkot, in which the podcast host, Dr. Jeremy Vogel, apologizes for not airing the episode. In the new episode, the full interview is heard with a member of the religious Zionist party. Also, the presenter says that he came to the original episode unprepared and with stigmas about the Knesset member, but after the episode he realized that Zvi Sukkot is: “a brilliant person. Pleasant walks and kind.”
“The speech was offensive, inappropriate, smug. I apologize from the bottom of my heart”
Also, in the new episode, he referred to the episode about the episode they posted instead of the original interview. The presenter admitted that the episode on the episode was: “Rude, blatant and offensive and I apologize for that”. In addition, he asked to apologize to the ultra-orthodox and national religious population who were hurt by his words: “The speech was offensive, inappropriate, arrogant. I apologize from the bottom of my heart.” In addition, he explained that he received many messages from his followers and people in the media who told him that the episode should be published.
“Zvi Sukkot spoke in a relaxed manner, he is a smart man. We had fun talking”
He also added that “Zvi Sukkot spoke in a relaxed manner, he is a smart person. We had fun talking, I met a person who I had fun talking with.” He also said that “I thought about Zvi Sukkot who is a bit of a jerk and will be an unpleasant person”. Finally, he said that “I never thought that leftists and settlers, even if they are terribly extreme, are not nice or smart people. I don’t think that a person is necessarily a vile, bad or stupid person.”
Also, in the new episode, he explained why he didn’t initially want to air the original episode with Zvi Sukkot. According to him, he made this decision after the Sde Yemen affair: “I see on television the smart, nice and level-headed man behaving like a drunken British hooligan in the Middle East, like a hormonal boy who has no control over himself. I said he was lying to me.”
“He turned out much better than we expected”
As I recall, at the end of last August, Knesset member Zvi Sukkot was a guest on the “Radical” podcast. After the episode, the presenters shelved the episode and released a new episode about the interview with Zvi Sukkot. At the beginning of the new episode, he said, “On an interpersonal level, he is a great boy, nice, pleasant and sympathetic. He denied that he believed in Christ as an external event and denied that he wanted to build a temple. He turned out much better than we expected.”
