Released: Sergeant Tomer Keren, 20 years old from Haifa, a fighter in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, was killed this morning (Thursday) by Hizbullah anti-tank fire on Ramim Ridge. Commander of the headquarters company in the Sword Battalion in Utzvat Baram of the Logistics Corps.
The late Keren’s mother, Sandra, works as an educator at the Yosef Memory Manor School in Ahuza. The message sent by the school’s principal, Anat Daniel, to the parents of the students reads: “Today in the late hours of the morning, we received some painful and difficult news – Sandra’s son, a 4th grade teacher, was killed In the anti-tank incident in the north. The children felt that a painful event had happened, and a rumor mill began. We immediately went through the classrooms and held prevention activities. We accompany the psychological service as much as we need. Sending condolences to our beloved Sandra, we all hug her in her difficult time and we are here to accompany and support.”
The funeral of the late Keren will take place tomorrow (Friday) at 12:00 at the military cemetery in Haifa.
