After the disappointing draw against Hapoel Ra’anana last Monday, Hapoel Tel Aviv very much hopes to return to winning ways this evening (Thursday) at 19:00 when they host Hapoel Nof HaGilil. The Reds will meet the team from the north twice in a week, tonight as part of the league and on Wednesday as part of the Toto Cup final.

“We know what needs to be improved in order to return to winning,” said Khodorov. “First of all, we need to be quiet with the ball and not let the pressure affect us. The name Hapoel Tel Aviv does not bring points in the national league, but on the contrary – it makes every team play against us as if it were a cup final and we will have to adapt to that as soon as possible.”

The team’s coach Masai Dago finished the preparations for the game and the team left this morning to a hotel in the north for gathering, rest and final preparations before leaving for the Galilee landscape. Dago is undecided about a small number of positions, with one of the undecideds being whether to include Yazen Nasser, who suffered raucous boos against Ra’anana for marking Lake in the past for a pro-Palestinian position.

Defender/stop Or Israelov will continue to be absent due to injury, but other than that Dego will enjoy a full squad. Ahmed Abed, who officially joined the team yesterday and will strengthen the attack, will be included in the squad. At the racing club they reached an agreement with Max Celic about letting his contract go, after we published here in ONE that they are trying to do so. The brakeman only signed for the Reds this summer. The 28-year-old Croatian played last season for the Bosnian champions, Banja Luka, and collaborated with the purchased striker who actually remained in the team, Milan McCarric.
