Under Abdel Moneim’s eyes… A goal celebration from Nice against Saint-Etienne

Nice, which includes Egyptian Mohamed Abdel Moneim, achieved a historic victory over Saint-Etienne, 8-0, on Friday evening, in the French League.

The Nice and Saint-Etienne match was held at the Allianz Riviera stadium, in the opening match of the fifth round of the French League.

Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdel Moneim did not participate with Nice against Saint-Etienne, and remained on the bench.

Nice ended the first half with 6 goals scored by Dylan Batubinsika (own goal in the 4th minute), Tanguy Ndombele (7th minute), Mohamed Ali Shaw (24th minute), Youssoufa Moukoko (26th minute), Youssoufa Moukoko (two goals in the 26th and 39th minutes), and Yvan Guisand (36th minute).

Nice thus became the first team to score at least 6 goals in the first half of a French league match in the 21st century.

In the second half, Sofiane Diop scored Nice’s seventh goal in the 75th minute before Pablo Rosario scored the eighth goal in the 86th minute from a penalty kick.

With this result (8-0), Nice raised its score to 7 points in fifth place in the French League table, while Saint-Etienne remains in sixteenth place with 3 points.

It is worth noting that Nice scored 8 goals in a single match for the first time since 1957.
