The committee added to Al-Riyadiah newspaper that it aims to examine 3,000 samples for athletes, and then gradually increase the number of samples to 5,000 samples per year, over the next 5 years.

The committee confirmed that it examined 2,027 samples during the last season, and less than 1,200 samples in the season before last in all sports.

The committee explained that it cannot reveal the number of samples it examined in the Roshen League until the end of the fifth round, because we are still at the beginning of the season, and the statistics are revealed at the end of it, and they cannot be divided, and last season’s samples in the league were 1,415 samples.

The number of sample collection officials was about 133, distributed throughout all regions of the Kingdom, including officers and assistants to collect urine and blood samples.

Regarding the banned substances that were added this season, the committee confirmed that the substance “Tramadol” was added to that list, after the approval of the Executive Board of the World Anti-Doping Agency.
